About The Therapeutic Space
The Therapeutic Space is an online platform that offers onlin4 therapy and counselling services. It is jointly maintained by Manvi Sahni and Krisha Gala, who are independent practitioners sharing this space to provide a safe, consistent, and respectful therapeutic experience. Each therapist is individually responsible for their own professional practice, client relationships, and service delivery.

At The Therapeutic Space, we are committed to offering a safe, consistent, and respectful therapeutic experience. These policies are in place to ensure that the time and energy devoted to your care are honored, while supporting healthy boundaries for both client and therapist.

Scope of Practice

Both practitioners at The Therapeutic Space are Counselling Psychologists. Their scope of practice includes:

  • Providing counselling and psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and groups.

  • Supporting emotional and psychological well-being through evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

  • Conducting psychological assessments for self-awareness, personality, or career exploration (where applicable).

  • Offering psychoeducation, emotional regulation strategies, and coping techniques.

Please note that:

  • Counselling Psychologists are not medical professionals and do not prescribe medication.

  • This practice does not provide psychiatric diagnosis, medical treatment, or crisis intervention services.

  • Clients requiring urgent psychiatric or medical attention will be referred to qualified mental health or medical professionals in accordance with the Mental Healthcare Act, 2017.

Therapist Responsibility & Limitations

  • The therapist’s role is to provide support, guidance, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions within the professional context.

  • The therapist is not responsible for any actions, decisions, or behaviours taken by the client outside of therapy sessions.

  • Clients are responsible for applying insights, strategies, and recommendations in ways that are safe and appropriate to their circumstances.

  • The therapist’s duty of care applies only during and within the therapeutic relationship.

  • The therapist cannot guarantee specific outcomes, as therapy is a collaborative process influenced by multiple factors.

Appointments

  • All sessions are scheduled based on mutual availability between you and your therapist.

  • Appointments must be booked at least 12 hours in advance to allow proper preparation.

  • Emergency or crisis sessions are not available. This practice does not provide urgent care or crisis intervention services. Appointments are scheduled in advance and typically last 45-50 minutes.

  • All sessions begin and end on time. If you arrive late, the session will still end at the scheduled time.

  • Appointments can be conducted in-person or via secure online platforms (if applicable).

    Missed Appointments / No-Show Policy

    If you do not attend your scheduled session and have not contacted me:

    • The therapist will wait up to 10-15 minutes during the scheduled start time.

    • If you have not arrived or made contact within that time, the session will be considered a missed appointment or no-show.

    • No refund will be provided for a missed session. However, you may be eligible to reschedule once within 7 days at no additional cost, subject to availability.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that schedules can change. Please review the following cancellation terms:

  • Cancellations made 2 days (48 hours) before the appointment:
    You will receive a full refund of the session fee.

  • Cancellations made in less than 48 hours before the appointment:
    No refund will be issued. The full session fee will be charged.

  • For Package Services cancellation and refund policies vary.

Rescheduling

  • You may reschedule a missed appointment once, at no extra cost.

  • Rescheduled sessions must take place within 7 calendar days of the original appointment.

  • Additional missed sessions will be charged in full

Confidentiality

All information shared during therapy, including your personal details, identity proof and digital signature, is handled with the utmost confidentiality, in accordance with professional ethical guidelines and the Mental Healthcare Act, 2017.

Confidential information will only be disclosed under the following circumstances:

  • With your written consent.

  • When required by law, such as situations involving risk of harm to self or others, or in cases of abuse, neglect, or serious threat to safety.

  • When mandated by a court order or legal authority.

Additionally, therapists may seek clinical supervision or peer consultation to maintain the quality and ethical standards of care. In such instances, your identity and identifying information will remain strictly anonymized to protect your privacy.

For minor clients (below 18 years of age), informed consent must be obtained from a parent or legal guardian, and assent must be obtained from the minor. Both are required before initiating psychotherapy sessions.

However, despite safety measures taken, there are chances for breach in security in technology. In such instances, both client and psychotherapist will not hold the other responsible for the breach.

Communication

  • You may contact us by email or message on WhatsApp for scheduling and general inquiries.

  • Please note clinical matters cannot be discussed over email or outside scheduled sessions.

  • We aim to respond to non-urgent messages within 1–2 business days.

Fees & Payment

  • Session fees are due at the time of booking the session.

  • Accepted payment methods: UPI, Bank Transfer, NEFT, Card Payments.

  • Please note that charges are subject to change. Any revision in the fee structure will be communicated to clients at least one month in advance.

  • Receipts are available upon request for insurance or personal records if applicable.

  • For international clients, payment details and charges may differ and will be shared prior to scheduling the session.

Emergencies & Crisis Support

We are not able to provide immediate or on-call mental health support. If you or someone you know is in danger or experiencing a crisis:

The Therapeutic Space does not provide on-call or emergency mental health services.

Legal & Ethical Compliance

All services are provided in compliance with:

  • The Mental Healthcare Act, 2017 (India)

  • The Code of Ethics for Psychologists (Revised, 2023) as recommended by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) and relevant professional bodies.

Clients are encouraged to read and understand these terms before commencing therapy. Engaging in services through The Therapeutic Space indicates your informed consent to the policies outlined here.

Disclaimer & Client Responsibility

Therapy is a collaborative process that supports personal insight, growth, and well-being. However, the outcomes of therapy depend on the client’s active participation, openness, and application of therapeutic insights in daily life.

Neither The Therapeutic Space nor its therapists assume liability for any decisions, actions, or consequences that clients choose to undertake outside the therapy context.
