The Therapeutic Practice Lab is a skill-based, practice-oriented traineeship designed for psychology students, emerging mental health practitioners, and anyone looking to strengthen their therapeutic competencies. This program bridges the gap between theoretical learning and real-world practice by offering a carefully structured blend of supervision, applied counselling experience, microskills training, and self-paced learning. Whether you’re beginning your journey as a counsellor or looking to enhance your current skill set, this traineeship provides a holistic and supported learning environment.
Program Overview
Our traineeship brings together four essential components that support a well-rounded therapeutic learning experience:
1. 20 Hours of Group Supervision, Peer Supervision and Triad Learning Sessions
Participants receive a combination of expert-led and peer-based supervision designed to deepen clinical understanding and build confidence in therapeutic work. Includes:
4 dedicated group supervision sessions facilitated by an experienced therapist
16 hours of peer supervision involving collaborative case discussions, guided reflection, and skill-building
Personalized guidance, feedback, and case direction to refine your practice
Supportive learning environment that strengthens ethical and effective counselling
2. 20 Hours of Practical Counselling Work Exposure
Gain meaningful exposure to real-world therapeutic settings. This practical component helps translate theoretical concepts into applied skills. What you will experience:
Supervised pro bono counselling sessions
Ethical and structured interaction with clients (optional, up to 2 clients)
Opportunities to practice interventions, build rapport, and manage real concerns
Guidance throughout your sessions to support safe and effective practice
This experiential module reinforces your readiness for professional counselling roles.
3. 20 Hours Reflective Self-Paced Learning Development
Designed for deep conceptual understanding, this self-paced journey allows you to engage with psychological themes commonly seen in therapeutic settings. Topics include:
Anxiety & depression management
Procrastination and motivation concerns
Emotional regulation and behavioral patterns
Relationship and self-concept challenges
This module encourages reflective thinking, practical insight development, and personal growth beyond academic learning.
4. 20 Hours Microskills & Therapeutic Intervention Training
Participate in interactive workshops aimed at enhancing core counselling microskills and evidence-based intervention techniques. Modalities covered:
Gestalt Therapy
Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Narrative Therapy
Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)

Meet the Facilitators
1. Aastha Kamra - Psychotherapist & Gestalt Supervisor
Aastha Kamra is a Counselling Psychologist and Psychotherapist with over six years of professional experience in supporting individuals toward emotional resilience and meaningful change. Trained in CBT, REBT, Gestalt Therapy, and NLP, she integrates evidence-based approaches with compassionate, human-centered care. Aastha currently serves as a Ph.D. scholar in Clinical Psychology at SGT University and leads mental health education initiatives across Delhi NCR through workshops, training programs, and community outreach.
2. Krisha Gala - Counselling Psychologist
Krisha Gala facilitates workshops, reflective circles, peer supervision programmes and women's support group. Blending EFIT, Art Therapy, ACT, Narrative, and Humanistic approaches, she offers trauma-informed and deeply client-centered care. Her work across private practice, startups, clinical settings, research and teaching master's students enables her to create gentle yet grounded therapeutic and learning spaces where individuals feel understood, supported, and empowered to grow.
3. Manvi Sahni - Counselling Psychologist
Manvi Sahni is dedicated to creating a compassionate, reflective, and safe therapeutic environment where individuals can show up authentically and feel deeply supported. With training in SFBT, EFIT, Somatic EMDR, Narrative Therapy, and integrative approaches, she blends evidence-based and experiential modalities to offer personalized care. As a facilitator, she leads reflective spaces, workshops, and growth-oriented programs for mental health professionals and communities, and also brings experience in mental health content creation, contributing to accessible psychoeducation and awareness.
